Yes Fragile
February 8th, 2011Close to the edge part 2
January 28th, 2011Well so in the previous post I went on about how awesome YES is and wanted to put close to the edge up so I could come and watch it over and over…but it is such a long song it is split into 2 parts…
So here is part 2
Yes – Close to the Edge
January 28th, 2011So a couple weeks ago, out of the blue during a conversation at work, the band YES came up. While telling my co-worker how awesome and inspiring the albums Fragile and Close to the edge were to me in high school, I got the craving to listen to them for the first time in 15+ years. So, to make the long story shorter, thanks to awesomeness of YouTube I was able to fill that craving. Unfortunately, I have since obtained both of the aforementioned albums and now cannot stop listening to them multiple times a day every day. YES has infected my brain, its awesomeness haunts my every waking moment….
And now for your listening pleasure!
Friends and Co-Workers
January 24th, 2011Sometimes you love them and sometimes you want to kill them…but then you’re reminded every 5 minutes or so how hilarious they are when the send you pictures like this. A lot of funny random pics pop up in IM throughout the day but once in while one just grabs you, or is funnier than the others. This one in particular I thought amusing enough to save and look at several times over the course of a week before deciding to make a nice color print of it and hang it on my office wall…right above the business license.

Now, I can’t really say why I like it so much, or what is really so amusing about it and now that it’s been hanging here a while I don’t even notice it most of the time but occasions like this when it does catch my eye and I find myself wondering again, “what the fuck, how do so many people have so much free time on their hands and the sense of humor to really go through with creating all these crazy pictures?” I wish I could find them and thank them and then punch them in the face for the hours of lost productivity in the office every week and then thank them again for letting us all laugh explosively several times a day and forget that we want to kill each or our computers half the time. Yeah, so anyway…GBTW fuckers!
People and Cars
January 18th, 2011Yeah so lot’s of stupid people like to post all over forums and blogs to let everyone know they got a new car or like a new car or “pimped out” their car, etc.,etc. This of course makes me feel especially like a douchebag for making this pic my desk top background and wanting to talk about it every time I look at it. Unfortunately, I can’t help it, this car is not only a sick 800hp twin turbo HPE800 2010 Camaro, but it just has that look and feel, that stance and that “fuck you, I’ll just go around you then” attitude that I love and well, live by on the road.
Actually I just love Camaros in general and I especially fucking Love the “feel” of this car. Truly, I would really like to have one of every generation, although as iconic as the first gens are, I could go without the price tag they fetch these days. A nice 79-81 second gen Z28 with a big block-turbo transplant mated to a 700R4 and some 3.08 gears could make for a fun daily driver. A clean 96-97 4th gen Pro Charged 383 LT1 Z28 with an SS hood and spoiler, dropped an inch or two and sitting on some Torque Thrust II’s would be pretty sweet. The Iron block LT1 just has a different sound than the later ls motors that I really like like. An 02 SS with an LS3 swap and Magnuson or e-force set up would be real fun too though, hmmm.
Of course, this brings us back to this car. Now, although I don’t think I could ever let myself spend $150k on a special order model like this, I do fully intend to own a 2012 Z28 should GM decide make it, and if not, well a nice 2SS with an edelbrock e-Force package, some other suspension and performance goodies and a badge swap will do almost as nicely…Indeed.
