Finally, last but NOT least…Inverted and Inserted, the 7th and final song from the Severed Savior Set at the Pound SF in July 2006 with Origin and Impaled, etc. with “demo version” drums. At the time that this show was recorded, I was still working out some parts, fills, and kinks in the drumming so it is a little different than the final album version in a few parts, not to mention that I dropped a stick early on in the song haha.

Hands down, one of my most favorite songs from the Servile Insurrection album and one of the most fun songs to play live. Enjoy being Inverted and Inserted.

This is the “demo version” of the song with the shorter ending and missing a few fills and frills but also has a few things that didn’t make it into the final version on the album that I wish had been kept…whattaya gone do? My Shoe!

Ok so here is the 4th song of the Severed Savior set from the July 28th Pound SF show in 2006. I hope you brought your lots of butter and like popcorn! Watching this now, what little pride I have is yelling at me to take it down because of all the horrible, stuttering double bass that litters the song. but, it’s too late. It’s on Youtube and well, I guess I should have worried about that 5 years ago when I was fucking the song up at the show haha. Anyway, enjoy the One by One Drum Cam.

After a recent conversation with Mike and the posting of the other Severed Savior videos on Youtube from the 2006 Pound SF show with Origin, Impaled, Murder Parade and Embryonic Devourment, I became motivated to dig out the Drum Cam DVD that Ramone recorded of that show and attempt to find some decent video editing s/w to chop it into individual songs so it can be uploaded to YouTube as well. After hours of messing with several pieces of junk, I found a program that seems to do the job pretty well without crashing every 5 minutes and actually has full features available in the demo version. I then began the process of chopping the video into individual songs and attempting to make them start and end in a decent fashion, which went pretty well.

Unfortunately though, it was a bit depressing watching myself flub songs that I’ve played 1000 times, which brings me to the point of this post, wait, no that’s not it, I fuck up every song live – especially the first couple in the set and then one or two in the middle and well, any new ones and of course the last one…So, Yeah, anyway…

I plan to continue to ready the other six songs from that show and wait hours on end for them to upload to YouTube over the next several days (or weeks with my shitty capped upload speeds) so that there will be a matching set of drum videos to match the “regular” videos, etc. Anyway, I also wanted to preface the audio quality of the video by saying that it was recorded on a retail camcorder, not the professional ones used for the main videos and the audio is from the camcorder mic and not mixed or edited in any way and the camera was directly on, above or in front of the drum monitor through out the show so the audio gets a bit overloaded at several points and clips a lot as a result (insert end of “run-on sentence” here).

Remembered again today that I have a site I was trying to start working on but had masterfully put off long enough to have forgotten about it, again. As part personal exploration project and part future marketing tool, I aspire to start adding an abundance of useful, interesting content about stuff people may want to come read, as well as some pontification and explanation of my past, present and future, for the therapeutic effect previously mentioned. However, I have become such a master procrastinator over the years that, when teamed with my “tuned to forget everything” memory, the list of aspirations just continues to get longer and longer and nothing gets accomplished. So, how does that work? you ask. How could you possibly put off so much but yet still be so busy? If nothing gets accomplished, how do you get anything done? These are all questions I ask myself all the time and although the answer to them all is clear and right in front of me, I just put off solving the puzzle, again and again, and again. To go into depth and get to the heart of the situation will take some time so buckle your seatbelt. Basically it all started back…Actually, I’m really busy right now and don’t have time to keep working on this, I’ll come back and finish it later…

I do, well not out loud, uh unless you count this as talking out loud, in which case I guess I do and, well, I know nobody is listening to this…
what’s more troubling is: when talking to one’s self and knowing that nobody is listening, why keep talking? It’s bad enough to be talking to yourself, its worse if you’re not even listening to yourself talk I mean, what’s the point, what is there to say that you can’t just think…wait, what was I just saying?

What I find more interesting is how in some ways doing this makes me a hypocrite because although I choose to talk to nobody, I still feel that need to talk out loud about shit that doesn’t matter and nobody cares about, which I guess makes me a little bit like everyone else on all the social media sites that I can’t stand…why do so many people in the world feel the need to express every little thing that happens every 5 minutes in their life…status update: woke up late again, shouldn’t be posting this, should be getting ready for work…status update: stayed in the shower too long again but the hot water is just so addictive, again wasting time typing this instead of getting to work…status update: just went to the toilet…status update: stuck in traffic…status update: stubbed my toe yay!…status update: Yur Mom…what the fuck people??? AHH It kills me, this is horrible, why did I start typing…

At some point soon I’m gonna have to find a more productive way to waste time when i’m super bored at work and just wanna go home and lounge on the couch but can’t…or at least I need to start writing about shit that matters…shit that people will actually wanna come find and read…and then monetize the shit outta the site and start promoting it so I can get some traffic and make some money for restraining myself from actually typing out the stupid rambles that happen in my head hahaha!
